We are looking for Mechanical engineers starting at the Antwerp Polymers Plant (Zwijndrecht) as Equipment Engineer.
We are offering a starting position as ‘Mechanical Engineer’ at the Antwerp Polymers Plant.
Our manufacturing sites involve multiple equipment disciplines (e.g. machinery or fixed equipment for this starting position, but also inspection, electrical, instrumentation, etc.) and a starting engineer can will become the “technical” owner of such an equipment discipline.
He/she then has the responsibility to solve problems in close collaboration with other engineers/operations/maintenance to ensure safe operation of the equipment and to drive reliability improvements in a cost efficient manner, which may lead to new capital projects.
The role provides also specialist mechanical expertise and leadership in the application of engineering standards, advanced fitness for service, risk based assessments, and quality control oversight for both existing and new facilities across a broad range of pressure equipment including: e.g. gas compressors up to more than 2000 bar, high pressure piping, rotating equipment,….
A next career step may be the technical ownership of another equipment discipline, a “coordinating” position or a commercial/business role, depending on company needs vs. long term personal career interests and development opportunities.
