Compliance Operational Management Officer

Your role & work environment

You will be part of the Operational Management team within the Compliance department and report to the Team Manager. In your role, you will be involved in helping the entire ING Belgium Compliance organisation in its reporting (towards Group and other ING Belgium entities), cross team tasks and projects coordination, governance and control framework and data quality activities. You will also play a role in managing contacts with internal (e.g. internal audit, Group, Finance, IT) and external (e.g. regulators) stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

Reporting tasks

• Support in the quarterly Non-Financial Risk Dashboard reporting by gathering and challenging input received from the different compliance teams
• Maintaining clear and up-to-date Compliance FTE figures and budget
• Ensure timely deliverables in ad hoc reporting requested by a.o. the Head of Compliance, Group Compliance or CRO.

Governance and control framework maintenance

• Coordinating risk assessments initiatives performed within the Compliance teams
• Ensuring timely update of Compliance governance documents (e.g. Charter, policies, Compliance Action Plan, etc)
• Follow up on iRisk issues closures
• Ensuring adequate iRisk data quality check and reporting

Support cross teams tasks, activities and reporting

• Support in the Compliance recruitment process
• Support in the preparation of internal communication, updates and guidances
• Support the Compliance department in managing contacts with internal and external stakeholders

As a Compliance Operational Management Officer you are someone who:

• Holds a Master degree or equivalent experience
• Has a previous experience in the banking and/or compliance areas
• Is able to manage many different things at the same time and prioritise them when needed
• Is able to cope with stress and tight deadlines
• Is able to easily communicate and interact with other stakeholders and pro-actively collaborate with them
• Has a good level of French/Dutch and English
• Has a good knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and other administrative, operational or project management IT tools, basic knowledge of the iRisk tool is a plus
