Functie

• Responsible for purchasing technical materials for machinery such as electric parts, engine parts, …
• Manage the buying process in line with the specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Source, select and negotiate the best purchase packages
• Specify European market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by European sales team.
• Obtains market share by working with sales team to develop product sales strategies
• Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
• Build and develop relationships with internal & external suppliers.
• Prospecting potential new suppliers for the European market.
• Actively plan & execute cost reduction opportunities
• Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and advising inventory levels in the European PDC.
• Develop a local sourcing strategy to be more cost effective and to give our network a better service terms of price, quality and delivery.
• Deliver updates and reports when required
• Backup our inventory controller in case of absence
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Profiel

• Bachelor (in a technical field) or relevant experience
• Language skills: Dutch (fluent) and English (fluent). Every other language is a plus.
• Experience in purchasing is an added value
• Proficient in ERP systems (experience with SAP is desirable) and MS office
• Good organizational skills
• Experience in a technical sector (automotive) is an asset
• Analytical mind-set with strong communication skills
• You are customer-oriented
• You work in an accurate and efficient manner
• You are a real team player
• You are not afraid to take initiative
