Your Profile

- You are fluent in English (TME business language)
- You are enrolled into a master in computer science (embedded software), electronics engineering or automotive engineering.
- You have MathWorks MATLAB / Simulink environment proficiency.
- You have already demonstrated programming skills in past projects (C, C++,…).
- You have (or you are willing to develop) a good understanding of software development and testing.
- You are strong in logical thinking, reporting and have strong planning & organization skills.
- You have a strong interest in automotive and electronics systems.

Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description
Software complexity is increasing drastically in cars (autonomous driving, bigger displays, advanced connectivity,…), while on the other hand time to market is reducing. To cope with these trends, your team is responsible to improve the software development process using Model Based Design methodology.

Your project
As intern, you will contribute to improve the quality of Toyota software through:
- Analysing current Toyota guidelines to ensure high quality software
- Researching state of the art procedures & tools to improve this quality in an efficient manner
- Creating proposals for potential improvements
- Setting up the proposed toolchain, ensuring automatic validation & reporting of the quality of software requirements, Simulink models & auto-generated code
- Applying the created toolchain on software under development in V2X, cockpit electronics & other domains and report your findings to the developers

Place of employment: Toyota Motor Europe / Technical Centre, Hoge wei 33, 1930 Zaventem, Brussels
Starting date: As soon as possible
Duration: 6 months
Confidentiality: Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.
 
It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
