The scope of responsibilities for this job as Junior Logistics Officer includes:
- Barge and vessel fixture including contact with freight brokers;
- Barge and vessel nomination including detailed understanding of the relevant terms and conditions of each trade;
- Barge and vessel demurrage including the payment and invoicing of demurrage claims;
- Marine insurance;
- Delivery documentation including contact with third-party superintendents;
- Invoicing and payment including a detailed understanding of VAT;
- Customs and excise exposures related to movement of Alcohol;
- Train and truck scheduling including planning and coordination with supplying terminals.
The requested qualifications for this job as Junior Logistics Officer include:
- You have a Bachelor or Master degree;
- You have excellent (written and verbal) knowledge of both English and French;
- Experience is not required for this job;
- You have good knowledge of MS Office;
- You are open, flexible and not afraid to take initiative;
- You are dynamic and motivated;
- You are a great team player.
