- Master degree (applied) economics, legal degree or civil engineer with an additional degree (MBA/Finance or other relevant education)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience within the financial sector or consultancy with commercial affinity– strong preference for a proven track record in Corporate Finance
- Deep knowledge of corporate finance transactions in practice as well as familiar with modelling & structuring transactions and valuing companies
- Strong oral & written communication skills and good command in French, Dutch and English
- Strong negotiation skills

Your role …
Originate M&A transaction
Advise the client and assist in every step of the CF process :
- actively involved in client interaction at senior level and creating a relation of confidence (=trusted advisor) between ING and (potential) clients
- (assist in) originating Corporate Finance transactions by (pro-actively) developing ideas and assist in the preparation of and participate in pitches towards potential clients

have a helicopter view on and have an in-depth understanding of each CF transaction step
- able to steer & coordinate the CF transaction time line from origination to deal closing
- able to perform in-depth industry analysis as well as review of companies’ strategy and financials
- take up accountability in drafting CF transaction documents
- able to run & review financial models in the context of company valuation assignments, able to gather, analyse and interprete complicated numerical information
- experienced in drafting valuation reports or strategic recommendations for potential clients that might become the basis for the client’s decision making process regarding these specific investment or disposal opportunities
- participate & lead negotiation meetings with potential buyers or sellers and support the client during their negotiations
- coordinate collaboration between the customer, potential investors and other external advisors (lawyers, auditors, etc.)
Advise on Equity Capital Markets related transactions (IPOs, SPOs or ABBs)
- assist in preparing documentation for and coordination of Equity Capital Markets
- lead and/or motivate autonomously a functional deal team
- contribute to the team by motivating and sharing knowledge on products & market developments
Manage the CF M&A team
- coaching and training
- all HR related topics (eg recruitment, feedback sessions,etc)
