Technical Business Analyst - Engineer in Brussel

ING is currently migrating its Customer Database from Belgium to the Target platform in The Netherlands.

This migration takes time therefore before moving everything to the Target, features and processes will continue to be updated/implemented on the Legacy (mainframe) platform.

The main goal of the candidate is to tackle our knowledge challenge on Legacy platform and in a later stage on the Target platform but she/he will also be involved in the implementation of new features and processes.

The resource will have to be meticulous, with strong communication skills (verbal and written), strong analytical skills, structured and having the ability to acquire and transmit the knowledge.

The candidate will join the Customer & Data Domain responsible for the technology to support primary and secondary processes with data and document.

More specifically, the candidate will join the IT Area "KYC, Onboarding & Customer Data".

This IT Area is responsible of managing the ING Belgium central database containing the customer data and all the customer journeys around them such as KYC process, onboarding of a new customer, account, holder and mandate management, contact data modifications, … for both Legal Entities and Private Individuals.

The technology in scope includes mainframe as well as new technologies such as APIs.

We are looking for an Engineer who will have the following responsibilities :

• Knowledge Acquisition of Legacy  : acquire the knowledge of the current functionalities and processes related to Customer Data (KYC, onboarding, lifecycle management of the customer data, mandate management, holder management, …);
• Knowledge Documentation of Legacy : be involved in the creation of a  Knowledge management system to capture and structure the existing information;
• Knowledge Acquisition of Targer Platform : in a later stage, the candidate will have to understand and document how these functionalities and processes are migrated to the target platform.
• Translation of Business requirements : the candidate will also be involved in functionality implementation by translating business requirements into technical requirements used by our Dev Engineers to implement features/processes .

To achieve these goals, she/he will closely work with Feature Engineers and experts of the IT Area having a strong experience of ING, on the Legacy and on the Target platforms.

As an Engineer you will also need:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree or equivalent by experience
• Good written and spoken knowledge of English
• Certifications and/or proven proficiency in analysis work
• Technical background with knowledge/relevant experience around database, mainframe and APIs analysis
