• As a Data Privacy Consultant, you ensure the correct application of the laws and regulations regarding data privacy and you are responsible for the integration of these into the daily operations of an organization or enterprise.
• You perform compliance activities. You will provide guidance and support in complying with the relevant regulations, advise on risk-based compliance strategies and implement improvements and solutions to specific problems, both from a legal, IT and information security point of view.
• You carry out assessments, gap and risk analyses at the client's premises and you are adept at drawing up improvement plans.

• You have a bachelor's degree in IT and first work experience in the broad field of Data Privacy or security.
• Or you have a Master's degree in Law, Economic Sciences, Political & Social Sciences, an Advanced Master in Digital Humanities or equivalent. Ideally, you will have had some initial work experience.
• Knowledge about and affinity with European data privacy laws and regulations such as the GDPR is a plus but not necessary.
• You have a strong work ethic, whereby you keep your appointments punctually, you are flexible and pragmatic and precise in your work. You are communicative and write fluently in English and Dutch or French.
• You adapt quickly to a new work environment and a changing range of tasks.
• You document accurately and thoroughly and enjoy performing this task. You are analytical, have strong organisational skills, and enjoy looking for solutions to problems. You are a team player who can also work well independently.
