We are looking for a senior leader to drive our growth in investment products through improving our sales performance, product offering, and customer experience. A Product Area Lead (PAL) who role models in energy, ambition, and transparency, to help achieve the goals for ING Belgium, as part of a cross-border Dutch-Belgian tribe.

Roles and responsibilities

As a PAL Investments BE, you:

  • Define and execute the product strategy for investments in Belgium
  • Create an OKR-based performance management and celebration culture
  • Strengthen the product quality and profitability of our core portfolios
  • Drive the development of a differentiating product and advisor experience
  • Create commercial traction through marketing & pricing leadership
  • Support the optimization of our tech landscape through focus and simplification
  • Improve your team’s engagement through shared vision & strategic clarity
  • Develop data-driven and commercial skills & mindset
  • Drive targeted people rotations to structurally strengthen the team
  • Develop the way of working and collaboration structures with other teams
  • Build collaboration with the sales organization through trusted relationships
  • Further grow the collaboration with the workgroup of independent agents

  • Deep understanding of the investments markets and its opportunities
  • Ability to take responsibility, steer strategy and realisations based on facts and data; managerial courage to question and make decisions
  • Focus on delivery through collaboration, ability to bring people together to work towards the same purpose
  • Ability to empower teams to act autonomously, think out of the box and hold them accountable
  • Ability to simplify complexity and drive operational excellence
  • Ability to support yourself and other team members in development
  • Strong resilience, ability to navigate through ambiguity
  • Ability to make an impact through inspiring and energetic leadership that leads teams through change

 

 Proven track record and technical skills:

  • 10-15 years banking experience including commercial experience and management experience
  • Experience in defining corporate strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives within medium to long time frames
  • Having been responsible for business development at an international bank
  • Having experience working as consultant is a plus
  • Proven track record in digitalization
  • Sound experience in building and executing strategic roadmaps
  • Excellent level of English.
  • Master’s degree
