For our Search Team we are looking for a Working Student Linguistics in Brussel with a background in Linguistics, Translation, or Natural Language Processing to contribute to the improvement of semantic matching in the recruitment domain. This position is part-time (20 hours a week for about 1 year). Fluency in German and English is a must-have. With over 500,000 jobs, 22.2 million CVs, 36 million searches per month the data is big and the challenge is even bigger. Beschrijving

You will mainly work on our German linguistic resources (taxonomies, dictionaries):

  • Manually quality-checking (automatically generated) new data to migrate into our existing resources
  • Adding more (German or English) translations to the existing taxonomy
  • Restructuring and manually checking the existing resources to improve the quality of the current data

  • You are currently enrolled at a university
  • You are studying Linguistics, Translation or Computational Linguistics
  • You have experience with applying concepts from morphology, syntax and semantics to data
  • You are fluent in German and English (English being the working language throughout the company), other languages such as French, Dutch and/or Spanish are a plus
  • You are quality-focused and detail-oriented
  • You are comfortable working with data-oriented software applications (databases, spreadsheets etc.)
  • Having a former experience with ontologies and/or automated text processing methods is a plus
