Masters degree in econometrics, business economics, financial engineering

Your role & work environment

You will work in the Wholesale Banking Lending – team of ING in Brussels. You will work with different teams internally, participate in preparing tailor made lending solutions for our clients and contribute to managing strategic projects.

Your key responsibilities

• You will assist in preparing credit packages according to ING policy and defend the credit request for approval to credit committee 
• You will assist in structuring and negotiating the credit facilities with the customer (in partnership with the relationship manager) and the follow up of the implementation/documentation of new credit facilities with other lending colleagues and/or in collaboration with inhouse Legal Department or external legal counsel. 
• You are expected to assist the origination and execution of more complex / non-standard deals with support of other lending colleagues and advising teams such as Loan Capital Markets , Capital Structuring & Advisory, Debt Capital Markets… 
• You will acquire knowledge on lending products, ING policies and also the general economic environment.
• You will provide further support to the Corporate Sector Lending Belgium team as appropriate.
• You will be appointed to manage relevant strategic change and / or regulatory projects and manage all related internal stakeholders

• relevant masters’ degree and finishing studies in econometrics, business economics, financial engineering, and/or CFA or equivalent academics
• Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills, demonstrated with good grades in relevant courses, strong excel skills
• Strong presentation skills (creating PowerPoint  and presenting)
• Strong eye for details in all deliverables
• Team player with good communication skills
• Entrepreneurial and commercial drive
• Eager to learn and share knowledge with colleagues
• Ability to work independently on various transactions/projects at the same time, often under pressure, and to prioritize resources accordingly
• Fluent in English, both verbally and written, Dutch/French speaking will be considered a plus.
