You will be part of the Assisted Channels Tribe, a cross-border tribe with teams both in BE and NL. As a tribe, we deliver and maintain excellent employee and customer systems and processes to enable customer and employee journey’s in all assisted channels. We also set requirements and provide in depth knowledge and expertise from an employee perspective. And last but not least we develop and manage the Roadmap and Strategy for all our assets including Salesforce.

Your key responsibilities

Engineering

• Design, develop, test and document customizations on the Salesforce platform in collaboration with other members of the development team, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Work with architects and other developers to translate business requirements into solution designs that best achieve target capabilities and leverage the platform effectively.
• Engage in code and technical design reviews of solution implementations to ensure code quality and best practices are maintained.
• Maintain a security conscious mindset and adhere to best practices and team standards.
• Understand, work with, and utilize sophisticated code patterns.
• Provide post-release support.

Contribute to the new way of working

• Work together with colleagues from other areas of expertise and take initiative in expanding knowledge within your area of expertise.
• You use your technical expertise and experience to provide a meaningful contribution to all Agile ceremonies (planning, refinements, retrospectives, demos).
• Where possible, you take on tasks/activities that contribute to the mission, even when they are not entirely within your area of expertise.

Contribute to team and personal development

• You contribute to the development of your squad by actively giving and receiving feedback.
• You present topics to the Engineering COE, to the benefit of the whole Salesforce Engineering Chapter.
• You actively develop your own expertise.

As a Devops Engineer you will also need:

• 3+ years of related Salesforce experience in a development capacity OR 5+ years of development experience on other platforms and a desire to learn the Salesforce platform.
• Knowledge of Cloud Based technologies including, JavaScript (client side) and at least one other major programming language.
• Good knowledge of enterprise integration architectures such as SOA, RESTful, ETL.
• An understanding of software testing with knowledge on building test plans and executing them in unit, functional and user acceptance test cycles.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven, Jenkins.
• Effective analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capability.
• Self-motivated and accountable.
• Strong communications skills.
