Your role & work environment
You will join the Tribe Finance & Risk Support Chain within the Finance Department.
The activities of your team are twofold:
1) your team is responsible for the implementation of the Finance & Risk change roadmap
2) your team also supports the business run teams in delivering their periodical regulatory reports
The Tribe Finance & Risk Support Chain #1 objective is to keep ING Belgium licensed to operate, through the maintenance and upgrade of its Finance & Risk reporting systems, keeping these safe & compliant and improving them along the way.
Your key responsibilities
As Customer Journey Expert you play a key role in the change activities :
- You understand the business needs for Financial & Risk coming from the regulators or from internal business stakeholders and finetune them into documented business requirements
- You translate these business requirements into clear functional requirements and you discuss them with the IT (TECH) members of your squad or tribe.
- You develop and execute test cases
- You define the documentation on data, processes and controls
- You provide change management support to the end users and ensure aftercare
As Customer Journey Expert you also support the business Finance & Risk run teams in their monthly, quarterly and yearly regulatory reporting towards the Belgian regulator (NBB) and ING Group.

- Holding a master degree, with 3 to 5 years’ working experience in a business analyst role and/or functional analyst role
- Having a basic knowledge about bank accounting and/or financial & risk regulatory reporting is a must. You have a strong will to further deepen this knowledge.
- You are willing to learn how to explore data in large data sets e.g. SQL queries, …
- Eager to understand complex application landscapes and process flows
- Able to document your analysis in a clear way
- You take ownership, you are solution oriented and an “out of the box” thinker
- Owner of a “can do” mentality and “make it happen” spirit
- A self-starter who is able to find information in an autonomous way
- A strong communicator with different types of stakeholders e.g. Finance & Risk experts, IT, …
- At ease when moderating meetings with a diverse set of teams
- Fluent in English, French and/or Dutch is a plus
