Therefore, we are looking for Automation internships to join the new automation squad. The squad will deliver and assist in various automation projects and by doing so will innovate the way of working of IT in ING.

Your working environment:

Tech Infrastructure Belgium is the infrastructure service provider of ING Belgium. We are there to simplify and streamline current processes, first by simplifying the infrastructure landscape through standardization. We also aim to improve and encourage the ING performance culture by creating a highly engaged workforce that embraces the new technology capabilities. Next to that, we are actively working in cross border tribes with colleagues from all over the world to bring our global private cloud to the next level, the Infrastructure as Code era!

What’s an Automation Engineer within ING?

Tech Infrastructure Belgium’s offering is based on multiple solutions, all of them key for the stability of our Bank. To streamline and to become more agile, self-service solutions are being developed for our customers. You are responsible for the automation and further refinement of the services of your partnering squads. You’re inspired by innovating and continuously strive to improve the solution, yourself and your colleagues in the infrastructure as code way of working.

You are an enthusiast student that …

• breathes automation! Why performing manual tasks that can be automated?
• Wants to learn his way with Azure DevOps and Git.
• is proficient with one or more programming languages.
• knows his way in Linux and Windows and isn't afraid to learn Ansible or Powershell
• understands how APIs work.
• has a solid understanding of container technologies and how to handle them.
• is a real team player!
• knows how to communicate at different levels, speak up, is transparent and isn’t shy to confront someone.
• has an attitude of succeeding, try to deliver the best output, has a getting-things-done mentality, handle issues as they arise, take pride in building efficient solutions and code.
• is always trying to improve his skills, to continuously learn and get better at what you do to be able to deliver the highest quality for our customers.
• is fluent in English (but some Dutch or French would also be nice).
