Junior Java Developer

We are looking for a Junior Java Developer to support the evolution of existing Java applications by implementing functional and technical enhancements. You will work with modern Java technologies and relational databases to adapt applications to new business requirements while maintaining performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain existing Java applications.
• Implement enhancements and migrations to support evolving business needs.
• Work with Java, Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate, Gradle, and GWT.
• Develop and optimize solutions using DB2 and PostgreSQL databases.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Participate in testing, debugging, and application maintenance.

Requirements

• Around 3 years of Java development experience.
• Experience with Java 8/11, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Gradle, and GWT.
• Knowledge of DB2 and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with application maintenance and enhancement projects.
• Experience within the social security sector is an advantage.

Languages

• French: Professional working proficiency.
• Dutch: Passive knowledge.
• English: Passive knowledge.

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid working model.
• Location: Sint-Joost-Ten-Noode, Brussels.
