Accountant Intern

At Cohabs, we create high-quality living spaces and communities across Europe. We are looking for an Accountant Intern based in Belgium to support the accounting team with the day-to-day accounting of our French entity and contribute to our monthly closing process.

What you'll be doing:

• Invoice Management: Encode and process customer and supplier invoices for our French entity.
• Bank Reconciliation: Prepare bank reconciliations and help ensure accounting records are accurate and up to date.
• Supplier Payments: Follow up on supplier payments and support the team in ensuring invoices are paid on time.
• Payroll Accounting: Encode payroll journal entries and support the accounting team with payroll-related accounting tasks.
• Monthly Closing: Participate in the monthly closing process, including reviewing the income statement and identifying discrepancies.
• Supporting the analysis and recording of provisions.
• Reviewing and reconciling accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.

What we're looking for:

• Relevant Background: You are currently studying for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
• Numbers Person: You are comfortable working with numbers and have a structured, rigorous approach to your work.
• Curious Mindset: You are curious, motivated, and not afraid to ask questions - even lots of them.
• Attention to Detail: You are organized, reliable, and pay close attention to detail.
• Digital Native: You have first experience with Excel or Google Sheets; knowledge of accounting software is a plus but not required.
• Team Player: You enjoy working with others, are willing to learn, and can contribute to a fast-paced international environment.
• Language Skills: You are comfortable working in French; English is a plus.
