Are you passionate about financial markets and equity investing?

Join our Fundamental Equity department at DPAM and gain broad exposure to the day-to-day realities of active equity investing in a long-only listed equities environment. This internship is designed for curious, adaptable and analytically minded students who are eager to contribute to a wide variety of projects supporting the department's investment activities.

Depending on business needs, the intern may work with different team members across subjects such as equity analysis, data management, ESG & sustainability, process improvement, automation, and AI-related initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop both investment and cross-functional skills while contributing to the broader objectives of the Fundamental Equity platform.

As an intern, you'll assist fund managers and analysts to develop a variety of analytical tools, models and documents. We see our interns as contributors, not just support. You'll be actively involved in the life of the portfolios, encouraged to make suggestions, explore new ideas, and bring fresh thinking to the table. Your position

The intern will support the Fundamental Equity department in a broad range of assignments linked to the investment process, team organization, research capabilities, and operational efficiency. The role is intentionally wide in scope in order to reflect the evolving needs of the department and provide meaningful exposure to different types of projects.

Depending on team priorities, the intern may be involved in:
• Analysis or benchmarking of listed companies, sectors, themes, or peers
• Drafting of internal research notes, summaries, presentations, and supporting materials
• Monitoring and supporting in ongoing research projects and team priorities
• Preparing company, sector, market, or ESG-related documentation
• Supporting the team in aspects related to financial analysis, data collection, and investment monitoring
• Creation and update of internal databases, trackers, dashboards using BQuant, Power BI, Python, R, VBA or any other programming language
• Follow-up in relation to research workflows, internal processes, and project coordination
• Control of data quality, consistency, and completeness across various tools and files
• Supporting initiatives related to ESG, sustainability, stewardship, or non-financial analysis
• Contributing to projects exploring practical use cases for AI in research, productivity, or knowledge management

On a daily basis, the intern may:
• Collect, clean, structure, and review financial or non-financial data
• Assist analysts with company research, sector screening, and benchmarking exercises
• Prepare slides, notes, meeting materials, and internal summaries
• Create and update monitoring files, models, watchlists, and reporting tools
• Conduct ad hoc research on companies, sectors, ESG topics, or market developments
• Support documentation, filing, and internal coordination across projects
• Help test, improve, or document automation and AI-related tools or workflows
• Interact with different members of the Fundamental Equity team depending on project allocation

Your profile

Education and background:
• Current student in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Data Science or a related field
• A first exposure to financial markets, investment analysis, or corporate finance is appreciated
• Previous internship experience is a plus, but not mandatory

Hard skills:
• Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch may be an asset depending on team needs
• Strong interest in equity markets and fundamental analysis
• Good command of Microsoft Office Suite
• Comfortable handling and organizing data
• Ability to conduct structured research and synthesize information clearly

Interest in one or several of the following is a plus:
• Knowledge of Python, R, BQuant, VBA, Power BI, Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar tools is an advantage, but not required
• Financial analysis and valuation
• Data management
• Automation and digital tools
• AI-related use cases
• ESG and sustainability

Soft skills:
• Analytical and rigorous

Available for a full-time unpaid internship:
• 6 months minimum
• 5 days per week
