Description

We are looking for a motivated intern to explore how AI can support the work of a Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP functional consultant.

AI is increasingly shaping how Business Applications projects are delivered, and within Avanade, DnA (Deliver & Accelerate) provides the delivery framework for these initiatives. In this internship, you will help evaluate how AI powered capabilities can support everyday ERP consulting activities such as requirements analysis, functional design, testing support, and knowledge retrieval.

Working closely with experienced ERP consultants and relevant internal communities, you will identify realistic ERP scenarios, test AI assisted capabilities and compare the results against expected functional outcomes and underlying project information. The goal is to assess where AI adds value,

where consultant judgment remains essential, and how practical guidance can be created for future project teams.

Your assignment
• Identify ERP consulting activities where AI agents can provide meaningful support
• Define realistic Dynamics 365 ERP scenarios for testing AI capabilities
• Focus on activities such as requirements analysis, functional design, test preparation, and

retrieval of relevant project information
• Execute the scenarios using available AI tools and compare the outputs with the expected

functional outcome
• Evaluate the accuracy, completeness, relevance, and usability of the generated results
• Document limitations, incorrect outputs, and improvement opportunities using clear

examples
• Identify where AI provides real value and where consultant judgment remains essential
• Develop practical recommendations and short guidance for consultants using the tested

capabilities
• Share findings and demonstrate relevant scenarios in community sessions

Qualifications

Skills and background

We are looking for students who are curious about both business processes and technology and who enjoy translating business needs into software solutions.

You should have:
• Current enrollment in IT, Business IT, Business Engineering, or a related field
• Interest in business processes, ERP systems, and Microsoft Dynamics 365
• A structured and analytical way of working
• The ability to question AI generated results rather than accepting them without review
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Interest in learning how AI can support consulting and enterprise delivery

It would be a plus to have:
• Knowledge of Dynamics 365 or ERP processes
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar delivery tools
• Interest in AI, business applications, and modern consulting practices

Pitch

Join Avanade's Business Applications team, where we bring together business understanding, technology, and delivery expertise to help clients transform the way they work. In this internship, you will work with experienced ERP consultants to explore how AI can support real consulting activities in a Dynamics 365 ERP environment.

You will contribute to the evaluation of AI assisted capabilities within the DnA delivery framework, helping to identify where they add value, where they fall short, and how they can be used responsibly in a consulting context. This is an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to work that has clear practical relevance for the Business Applications community.

This internship offers a hands-on introduction to ERP functional consulting, AI assisted delivery, and collaborative teamworking in a real project environment.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Belgium and be eligible to join us for the internship period, with the potential to continue with Avanade in a future role after graduation
