Cohabs is reimagining urban living by creating thoughtfully designed homes and services that make city life easier, richer and more connected. Today, we operate across nine cities, combining great spaces with a genuine sense of belonging.
As a Property Management Intern, you'll join our Operations team and help ensure that our 40+ properties run smoothly every day. From handling maintenance requests and supporting our members to coordinating contractors and carrying out on-site inspections, you'll be involved in all aspects of property management. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working in the field and taking ownership.
What you'll be doing:
- Be there for our members, acting as a first point of contact for questions, complaints and maintenance requests, building strong relationships and making sure issues are addressed before they escalate.
- Get hands-on with maintenance, handling minor repairs yourself whenever possible, including painting, drilling, mounting fixtures and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Keep our houses in great shape, regularly visiting properties, identifying maintenance needs, supporting move-in and move-out inspections and ensuring every house remains clean, safe and up to standard.
- Coordinate external contractors, sourcing reliable service providers, comparing quotes, negotiating fair prices and checking the quality of completed work for larger or specialised repairs.
- Keep operations organised, processing supplier invoices, matching receipts with work orders, coordinating appointments and keeping member and property records up to date.
- Handle the unexpected, responding quickly to urgent situations such as water leaks or lockouts, staying calm under pressure and helping find practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Track maintenance activities, keeping an accurate overview of open tickets, completed tasks, ongoing repairs and pending invoices so the team always knows where things stand.
What we're looking for:
- You are currently pursuing or have recently graduated from a degree in Operations, Real Estate, Business or a related field.
- You are comfortable using basic hand tools and carrying out minor maintenance tasks such as painting, drilling and mounting fixtures.
- You enjoy combining office-based responsibilities, such as invoicing, emails and scheduling, with hands-on work across different properties.
- You are proactive and independent, with the judgement to take ownership of everyday issues and escalate more complex situations when needed.
- You react quickly and know how to reprioritise your day when urgent maintenance issues arise.
- You are organised and detail-oriented, able to keep track of multiple maintenance requests, invoices and properties at the same time.
- You take ownership, look beyond immediate fixes and enjoy finding ways to prevent recurring issues and optimise operational costs.
- You are fluent in both French and English, both written and spoken.
