Job Description

Capgemini is looking for Java software engineers, technical analysts and architects with experience and/or interest in developing business-critical applications for the Financial Services industry. Your challenges include back-end, front-end and mobile solutions.

You will support our customers in analyzing, designing and implementing Java solutions in national and international projects, in line with your ambitions.

As a Java Software Architect, you will be the link between Business and IT. You will hold a key position in the development and maintenance of our customer’s applications, act as the knowledge expert of teams and coach other engineers on challenging missions. You will assume responsibility over a team of developers while remaining responsible of the overall integration of the solution.

Function

• Participate and lead new frameworks, mobile technologies and certification trainings
• Provide recommendations on a wide range of development related topics
• Coach development teams
• Guarantee a scalable, robust and future proof architecture
• Identify and report risks related to the projects and propose mitigation actions
• Coordinate the analysis, estimation and planning processes
• Be accountable for timely and qualitative delivery
• Provide recommendations on a wide range of development related topics
• Guarantee a stable production environment
• Participate in releases and project launches
• Identify and report risks related to the projects and propose mitigation actions
• Participate and lead new frameworks, mobile technologies and certification trainings

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent through relevant experience

Technical expertise

• Sound experience in software engineering and development
• SOA, microservices, REST, Web services
• Knowledge of at least one common application servers (JBoss, Websphere)
• Web development: HTML/CSS, Javascript, AngularJS, JQuery
• Strong knowledge of
  • Java, Java 8 is an asset
  • Java EE
  • Spring, Spring MVC and Spring Webflow
  • Hibernate / JPA
• Knowledge of tools:
  •  Pivotal CF, IBM BlueMix
  • Ant and/or Maven
  • Microsoft Azure, SkySight (is a plus)
  • Heroku, Amazon Web Services (is a plus)
  • Logstash, Microsoft System Center or Nagios
• General best practices and design patterns
• JUnit, DBUnit is a plus
• Source control management: usage and set up (ex: Git, SVN, Stash)
• Continuous integration (ex: Jenkins)
• SQL
• Methodologies: SCRUM, UML, Agile, Application Design, Development life cycle
• Oracle Java certification is an asset.
• Automated testing knowledge is an asset
• Knowledge in application performance: optimize, profile, tweak,…
• Networking knowledge: Routers, Firewalls, reverse proxies,…
